A fairy tale (pronounced /ˈfeəriˌteɪl/) is a type of short story that typically features folkloric fantasy characters, such as dwarves, elves, fairies, giants, gnomes, goblins, mermaids, trolls, or witches, and usually magic or enchantments.
Paidika Paramythia is our effort to create a mobile-first, reader optimized website where visitors may enjoy classic fairy tales, fables and stories, comment them, as well as publish their own stories for others to read. Our tales are mostly text-based but we are enrich them with photos and videos (where possible). There is also support to listen each story (as in an audiobook) by using modern HTML5 Text-to-Speech technology (powered by ResponsiveVoice).
This website has been developed on the powerful Drupal Content Management System (thanks!) using a custom subtheme of Bootstrap theme (thanks again!). Both are open-source tools and we couldn't make this nice site without them.
Text-to-Speech support is provided by the awesome third-party platform, ResponsiveVoice, which we also gratefully thank for their great tools.
All story texts are public domain or belong to their authors and / or their publishers. In the latter case, we publish them for educational and recreative use of our visitors. If you find a text/story which is illegaly used in our site, please contact us and we will immediately take it down.
All photos used in Paidika Paramythia are either public-domain or have a free License from their creators which we attribute. If you find a photo which is illegaly used in this site, please contact us immediately to take it down.
